Born in 1942, Guru Sreedevi Rajan stands as a revered figure in the realm of Mohiniyattam.Her profound contributions have significantly enriched this classical dance form. Collaborating with herillustrious mother, the "Mother of Mohiniyattam," Guru Kalamandalam Kallyanikutty Amma, Sreedevi has played a pivotal role in shaping and expanding the boundaries of Mohiniyattam.Education and Early Training: A postgraduate in Malayalam literature, Smt. Sreedevi Rajan embarked on her journey into the world of Indian classical dance at an early age. Trained under the Guru Shishya Parampara Scheme, she mastered Mohiniyattam, Kathakali, Bharatanatyam, and Carnatic Music. Her arangettam in both Mohiniyattam and Bharatanatyam at the age of five marked the beginning of a lifelong commitment to the arts.
